History
Phetch Buncha Boxing Stadium was established in 1998 with the aim of hosting high-level Muay Thai competitions in the Chaweng area of Koh Samui. It quickly gained popularity among both tourists and Thai spectators and is considered one of the oldest and most renowned boxing stadiums on Koh Samui, often regarded as the island’s most famous Muay Thai venue.
The stadium has a seating capacity of approximately 650 seats, creating an intimate, close-up atmosphere filled with energy from the crowd. It focuses on traditional Muay Thai, featuring full pre-fight ceremonies including Wai Kru and Ram Muay, performed in accordance with Thai tradition. The intense and authentic atmosphere makes it ideal for those who wish to experience the true spirit of Thai martial arts.
Both Thai and international fighters compete in high-level matches here, making Phetch Buncha Boxing Stadium a highly respected venue that serious fighters aspire to compete in.

How to get here
Fly to Samui Airport (USM), then take an airport taxi or van. After collecting your luggage, proceed to the taxi queue (ticket-based system). The fare is approximately 200–300 THB.
Alternatively, rent a car or drive yourself. From the airport, drive along Chaweng–Choengmon Road, then turn into Chaweng Yai Community Soi 13. Travel time is about 10–15 minutes. Parking is available at the stadium.
From the mainland (Surat Thani):
Depart from Donsak Pier to Koh Samui via Raja Ferry or Seatran Ferry. Travel time is approximately 1.5–2 hours, then continue by taxi or local songthaew to Phetch Buncha Boxing Stadium.From Koh Phangan / Koh Tao:
Travel by speedboat (such as Lomprayah or Songserm). Main arrival piers are Maenam Pier or Bangrak Pier, then continue by taxi or local songthaew to the stadium.
